Think back of An Event Apart - Chicago last year, and couldn’t express enough how great it was. It was my first time to go to a conference like this (brainstorming, chit-chatting, showing off cool CSS moves and meeting fancy people in the web world.)
The funny part was that 60-70% of laptops that were brought was a Mac. Literally if you walked in front of the conference room, you would see the apple logo lit up everywhere.
My most exciting part of the event was that I sat next to Eric Meyer’s dad. YES. That’s right, the dad. I sat next to him during lunch. He said to me “Eric wants to be successful and gives out to the world since he was young. I am very proud of him to see that everyone comes and listen to his speech.” I thought to myself, “Yes, me too. I want to be like Eric Meyer one day.”
Eric is my role model.
More of Eric Meyer
One day after the event, my previous co-worker took a snapshot of me with my computer background and put it on her flickr. She said “every time i have a problem with CSS nikki tells me to call up eric meyer. yea, cos he’s on my speed dial. haha.”
Guess who make comment?
Jeremy Keith of 37signals and Eric Meyer! Check it out!!
Oh boy, isn’t that why I have to keep up with the web technologies and CSS? I think they are web police.
